Philips Hue Adds A Whole Bunch Of New Lights, Including A ‘Light Tube’

There's a bunch of stuff, so here's a quick rundown:

New filament bulbs that can change color temperature (plus a new candle shape for filament bulbs)

Brighter options (75 watt and 100 watt equivalent) for color temperature change and color versions of standard Hue bulbs

A "light tube" to illuminate around your TV (this is meant to synchronize colors with what's on screen)

Upgraded versions of Signe floor lamps and table lamps that can display multiple colors at once

An improved TV-focused light strip, the "Hue Mood Gradient Light Strip", which can also display multiple colors at the same time

The products will be rolling out over the next few months, with some configurations of brighter bulbs and incandescent bulbs available immediately, the light strip and lamps coming in October, and the light tube and ceiling coming in January. Signify, which makes the Hue range, is also releasing an update to the Hue app today that will enable "dynamic scenes", which allow lights to continually change color.
